Waseley Hills Visitor Centre

This week I have been working for the National Trust with young people from The Factory in Longbridge. The brief was to paint a mural at Waseley Hills Visitor Centre reflecting the local surroundings and based on ideas from the group of young people involved. The first day was spent being guided around the country park coming up with ideas for the mural and combining these ideas to form cohesive mural. On the second day the young people helped paint the first parts of the mural, filling in large areas and learning techniques for fading colours and adding detail. it was then up to me for the rest of the week to paint more detail giving the piece depth and areas of interest such as the animals.
